Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Formerly known as the Health Care Provider CPR C/AED, Basic Life Support (BLS) is the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest. It is designed for healthcare providers and trained first responders who work in a healthcare setting.

  • The new BLS course is a video-based, Instructor-led course that teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both in-facility and prehospital settings, with a focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics. The new BLS Provider course, based on the 2015 Guidelines, replaces the BLS for Healthcare Providers course, while offering the high-quality education you’d expect from the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

 
  • Heart and Stroke certified 2 day course where you will learn the next level of providing care in cardiovascular emergencies.  This course includes advanced rhythm recognition, drug administration, and team dynamics to improve outcomes in cardiac emergencies.  

  • Prerequisites : 

  1. BLS HCP provider certification (current)

  2. Complete the mandatory precourse Self-Assessment found at :

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

PALS Provider (PALS)
  • Heart and Stroke certified 2 day course where you will learn the next level of providing care in cardiovascular emergencies while focusing on pediatric assessments.  This course includes advanced rhythm recognition, respiratory emergency management, drug administration, and team dynamics to improve outcomes in cardiac emergencies.  

  • PALS is often known as the unofficial prerequisite to the Advanced Pediatric Life Support Course (APLS) required for residents who are entering emergency department internships.

  • Prerequisites : 

  • BLS HCP provider certification (current)
