Welcome to the DSAT program: Throughout this program, you will complete the six online modules, which include an open-book final exam. Upon completion, you will receive an Interim DSAT certification, which must be presented to the supervising dentist prior to commencing clinical rotations. Upon completion of your clinical rotation, you will be issued a full DSAT certification and participants will be certified to assist in patient care during all levels of sedation. About the program: This DSAT program is a comprehensive online course for all members of the oral surgery team, including Oral maxilla facial (OMS) residents, general dentists, and dental assistants. The program reviews core medical science, patient evaluation and systemic disease, anesthesia pharmacology and techniques, equipment and monitoring, and management of medical emergencies in the dental office. The DSAT course is designed as a self‑paced online component, and video lectures from the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
