Renew your Dental PALS in less time.
When you sedate children, the numbers change with every kilogram. Dental PALS Renewal is a focused online refresher on the pediatric essentials, followed by a hands-on session with pediatric manikins where your team practises together.
What's included
- Five online modules, self-paced, about 1¾ hours in total
- Knowledge checks at the end of every module (80% to pass)
- A hands-on session with pediatric manikins: small-airway rescue, CPR and defibrillation by weight, and pediatric resuscitation scenarios
Two refresh tracks, one team
- Core Refresh (Modules 1–2): every member of a sedation team that treats children. Recognizing the seriously ill child, sizing by weight, the pediatric kit, team roles, and small-airway rescue.
- Provider Refresh (Modules 3–5): the dentist who sedates patients 12 and under. Pediatric rhythms, weight-based drugs, resuscitation pathways, sedation emergencies, and leading the resuscitation.
Your certificate
Issued after the hands-on session and valid for 2 years: Dental PALS Team Member (Modules 1–2) or Dental PALS Provider (Modules 1–5).
Designed to meet or exceed BCCOHP educational requirements. Dental PALS does not fulfil BCCOHP's separate yearly pediatric-simulation requirement for dentists who use oral ketamine.
