It's built around the same bedside questions as the Short Primer, then goes further: what is this 12-lead telling me, and what does it change about my next move?
What you'll learn
- A systematic approach: assess the patient first, read ECG paper, calculate rate, then check regularity, P waves, PR interval and QRS width.
- Core ACLS rhythms at a glance: sinus, atrial and junctional, ventricular and arrest rhythms, AV blocks and pacing.
- 12-lead interpretation: lead placement and views of the heart, axis determination, and recognizing STEMI/ischemic patterns and other high-stakes 12-lead findings.
- Rhythm and 12-lead check: a graded set of questions on real rhythm strips and 12-lead tracings.
